My boyfriend and I at the Ferrari Festival
I had a wonderful weekend in Houston. I always enjoy my time there (I think it’s mainly the company).
I got down there Thursday night. My boyfriend picked me up from the airport, and we went straight to a club in Houston Midtown called 5th Amendment for my boyfriend’s friend’s birthday.

So far I’ve reintroduced tomatoes, potatoes, peppers, cheese, gluten, soy, oranges, strawberries, peanuts, and wine. I have had issues with gluten, soy, wine, and a bit with cheese, but the rest have been fine. I think I will miss the cheese the most out of the four.
I have eggplant, corn, eggs, macadamia nuts, and pistachios left to try.
My Heart Belongs to Texas
I am heading to Houston to see my boyfriend this weekend. I am very excited. However, this does mean that I am not likely to post for the next few days. I’ll update you, my reader, on my adventures come Monday.

I reintroduced peanut butter today. I had no issues with it. I will try it again tomorrow to see if it can return to my diet. However, I didn’t enjoy peanut butter nearly as much as I like almond butter.

Today was the second day of my offsite in Cincinnati. Unlike yesterday, I had much less luck in the food department. The buffet only one thing I could eat: lettuce. Everything else contained meat or dairy. Luckily there were apples left over from the morning break so I had those instead.

I was at an offsite for work today in Cincinnati. I was concerned about having food to eat, but I managed. All of the meals were buffet style so I was able to pick and choose what I wanted to eat.
Today’s Food
I didn’t track my calories that well today.
Breakfast: Sliced watermelon and cantaloupe
Lunch: Salad with onions, mushrooms, candied walnuts and spinach along with vegetables sauteed in olive oil (string beans, onions, zucchini and yellow squash and there was some incident bell pepper consumption).

I ate peppers for a second time today. Once again I had no discernible issues with them. Pending issues tomorrow, I think it is safe to keep them in my diet.
It will be hard to eat for the next two days. I am in Cincinnati for an offsite for work where they are providing all of the meals. I have no idea if they will have anything for me to eat. I forgot to send in a request for a special meal. I believe I indicated that I was vegetarian on the registration, but I’m not certain if I also indicated gluten-free, or if I said vegan. This could be interesting.

Peppers are part of nightshade family. Nightshades including potatoes, tomatoes, eggplant, and peppers, contain steroid alkaloids which can cause joint pain and inflammation in those who are sensitive.
I added bell peppers back to my diet today. They are so juicy and tasty. I had no issues with eating them. I plan to try them again tomorrow to ensure that this is the case.

I consumed strawberries today and had no reactions! This is a good thing since I love strawberries and to not be able to eat them would be a shame. I felt fine after eating them and felt good until the end of the day when I got a horrible headache. I’m fairly certain that the headache was a result of sinus pressure and unrelated to consuming strawberries. I will attempt to eat them again tomorrow to ensure there are no issues.
